YKR Dharma Center is very happy to welcome Lama Ani Gendun back to Vermont.

Text Box: Lama Gendun will be giving Teachings and Meditation Instruction on The Seven Points of Mind Training. Brought into Tibet by the Indian Master, Atisha in the eleventh century. In the 19th century Jamgon Kontrul composed a commentary on the Seven Points of Mind training called A Direct Path to Enlightenment. The Seven Points of Mind Training outlines in simple direct way the path of a Bodhisattva It shows us that all we need is sincere desire and resolve to benefit others, to be helpful, generous, forgiving and compassionate in all of our daily relations with others. Through the path of “Tonglen”, Taking and Sending, exchanging our happiness for the suffering of others we diminish ego clinging and achieve deep states of relaxation and peace.

Lama Zopa will be returning for his regular monthly visit on Monday 26th at 6pm,

To continue Instructing from the vast Treasury Teachings of the Lord of Compassion Chenrezi. Lama Zopa will be introducing the profound meditation of Mahamudra.  From Tilopa’s Mahamudra Upadesha it is said,” at the instant of Mahamudra realization all ignorance and negative karma are purified” Tai Situ Rinpoche states that “ To be absorbed in and observe the nature of mind, which is always nothing less than Buddha itself, this is the essence of Mahamudra Meditation. We are very grateful to lama Zopa who makes a monthly journey from New Hampshire to provide meditation instruction for our Sangha and pray for his long life and continued good health.
